Our Mission

Ecocamp Costa Rica specializes in lodging for small groups in a cabin and rustic campsite setting making this an ideal location while visiting Costa Rica. We offer two comfortable cabins with a capacity for eight persons and six large, rustic campsites for groups such as soccer teams, Spanish language classes, science and ecology clubs, bird watching and other types of small groups that desire to be centrally located near the many exotic destinations in Costa Rica. If you wish, we can arrange tours for you to the volcanoes, rainforest, beaches or other sites of interest.

By the way, Ecocamp Costa Rica is a tranquil ecological farm in Atenas, Costa Rica where National Geographic magazine says the weather is idyllic - beautiful warm days and cool sleeping nights and AARP Magazine recently named Atenas, Costa Rica as one of the best places to retire abroad.

Our jewel of mountain property is located just five kilometers from the center of Atenas and borders the river Cajon. A secure electric gate offers privacy to the main Plancillo, Barrio Mercedes main road that connects to Atenas, Orotina, Palmares and other nearby towns. We are located less that one hour from all the Pacific coast's most beautiful beaches like Herradura, Jaco and Punta Leona.

Ecocamp Costa Rica offers you a secluded and private stay surrounded by a variety of tropical fruit trees, endemic exotic hardwood trees and plenty of wildlife. Our comfortable poolside cabins, ranchos for meetings and entertainment and our large grass carpeted campsites are a statement to the beautiful mountains and volcanoes nearby.

Walk the grounds of Ecocamp Costa Rica and pick some fruit on your way down to the Cajon River’s two breathtaking waterfalls. Take your camera and binoculars because you just might catch some wildlife like the toucan, maybe a harmless boa. a rare monkey or a beautiful humming bird hovering over a clutch of orchids on the limb of a yellow Corteza tree.
